Bruce John VanHout
November 6, 1956 - December 3, 2024
Bruce John VanHout, age 68, passed away Tuesday afternoon December 3, 2024 at his son’s home in Franklinton, Louisiana. He was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin before moving to Colorado as a young man. Bruce worked in subcontracting flooring for 40 years, owning and operating his own company Evergreen Floor Covering. He was always a hard-working man to provide for the needs of his family. Bruce had many passions outside of the jobsite and played as hard as he worked. He loved drag racing and boating and had a love for Ford cars through the years, especially the iconic Ford Mustang. Bruce loved to travel, including to his favorite areas of Mexico, but his most joyous travel was getting on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with his riding buddies or family and riding across the country to tour many different areas. He was the kind of man who would do anything to help his family or friends in need, sacrificing of himself to support others but always full of love, keeping family connected and together no matter the distance or circumstances. Bruce was a great storyteller, often sharing his many great experiences with those he knew. He was always smiling and laughing and a true joy to be around. Bruce will be forever missed by all that he was close to.
