Judge Louis Moore, Jr.

United States Magistrate Judge Louis Moore, Jr. departed this life on Monday, December 16, 2024 at the age of 77. He is the son of the late Louis, Sr. and Irma Moore. Judge Moore is the husband of Earlean Morgan Moore.
In 1985, Judge Moore was sworn in as a United States Federal Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of Louisiana. Judge Moore retired from this position in 2012.
Left to celebrate Judge Moore’s memory are; his loving, devoted wife of fifty-five years, Earlean Morgan Moore, sister, Regina Ann Skiffer (Robert) son, Dr. Louis Lamar Moore (Kendra), daughter, Dr. Valerie Angelle Moore Robinson, five grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Judge Moore’s funeral will take place at New Zion Baptist Church located at 2319 Third Street New Orleans, LA 70113 on Monday, December 30, 2024. The viewing is at 9:00 am and the home-going service is at 10:00 am. The interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. The arrangements by D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave.
