Larry Wayne Brumfield
August 4, 1940 - December 9, 2024
Larry Wayne Brumfield, age 84 and a resident of Mt. Hermon passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 at Riverside Medical Center. He operated the Broken Wagon Dairy for many years. He then worked offshore as an electrician. He enjoyed riding his tractor and spent many days fishing. Wayne loved his family especially the grandchildren. He was a member of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church.
Survived by: 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Jenny and Wayne Rawls of Mt. Hermon, Melanie Brumfield Smith of Mandeville; Grandchildren and Spouses: Brandi Whaley, Miranda and Al Pertuz, Andrew and Breana Rawls, Jacob Rawls, Alex Smith, Shelby Smith, Jonathon and Kimber Brumfield; Great-grandchildren: Madison, Makenzie, Brieanna, Gavin, Sadie, Avery, Oakland, Miley Kamden, Korbin, Layla, Addie; Sister in law: Fran Varnado; Also numerous nieces and nephews
He was recently preceded in death by his wife Linda Chumley Brumfield, a son T. Wayne Brumfield, granddaughter Ashley Elizabeth Brumfield, son in law Dr. Jay Smith, parents John A. and Jenny Ophelia Bridges Brumfield, brothers John R. Brumfield, Elgin Brumfield, Denman Brumfield, Jimmy Brumfield and Jackson Brumfield, nephews Reggie Brumfield and Denny Brumfield, nieces, Kim Hartzog, Sandy Stevens.
There will be a family gathering at a later date to memorialize his life.
