Mildred Faye Willie Waskom
October 15, 1934 - December 11, 2024
Mildred Faye Willie Waskom, age 90 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away peacefully Wednesday night December 11, 2024 at Good Samaritan Living Center. She worked hard alongside her family on their dairy farm and devoted her life to taking care of the needs of her husband and family. They also owned and operated B&M Trucking. Millie was an excellent cook and provided three meals a day for her family and always offered food and a fresh cup of coffee to anyone visiting their home. She was a friendly person that never met a stranger and always found the good in the people she knew, as we are all equal in the eyes of the Lord. Millie loved spending time with her family and taking care of her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Stony Point Missionary Baptist Church that will be remembered for her kind, caring nature and the loving dedication she showed to her large family.
Survived by: 3 Sons and Daughters in law: Jeff and Ellen Waskom of Kentwood, Mark and Shandle Waskom, Chris and Vonda Waskom all of Franklinton; Daughter: Kathy W. Smith of Mount Hermon; Grandchildren and Spouses: Josh and Mallory Waskom, Melissa and Casey Wood, Jake Waskom, Brittany and William Bell, Amber Waskom, Hollie Waskom, Scott and Haley Seal, Bradley and Kristina Seal, Christopher Waskom and Jenna Varnado, Marisa and David Pettit, Brandy and Raymond Cutrer, Russell Len and Cherie Smith, Katie and Scott Miller; Great-grandchildren: Maddox, Olivia, Maverick, Ryan, Harper, Dawson, Gavin, Allison, Jett, Mila, Ava, Miles, Nash, Bryson, Julianna, Marleigh, Ethan, Rafe, Remi, Reese, Ramsi, Alexis, Rusty, Raegan, Brady and Emily, Peyton, Eden, Ivy, Hayden; 4 Sisters and Brothers in law: Joyce Adams, Rochelle Jones, Barbara and Sidney Hood, Peggy and Mike Small; Brother and Sister in law: J.C. and Lily Willie; Also numerous nieces, nephews, their families and other family members
She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Joe Waskom, son in law James Russell Smith, grandson Matthew Cade Dillon, parents Harold C. Willie and Ouida Blackwell Willie, father in law and mother in law Fairies and Thelma Waskom, brother in law John Kenneth Waskom, sister in law Bonnie Waskom, nephew Kenneth Wayne Waskom and other family members.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday December 16th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Monday with Bro. Brent King and Bro. Stan Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Stony Point Church Cemetery.
