Eloise McCain Applewhite

September 2, 1968 - December 18, 2024

Eloise McCain Applewhite, age 56, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in Bogalusa, LA. She was a life-long resident of Washington Parish. Eloise truly had a heart of gold and she loved deeply. Her family rests in knowing that her suffering here on Earth is over, and she has joined her Father in Heaven.

She is survived by her only daughter: Amanda Roe NeSmith (Mitchell NeSmith); three grandchildren: Jaidyn Delaune, Savannah Delaune, and Jeslyn NeSmith; one brother: John Henry McCain; one nephew: John d’Aquin (Amanda Ikerd d’Aquin); three nieces: Jennifer McCain Slocum (Kyle Slocum), Hannah McCain, and Allie McCain; six great-nephews; six great-nieces; and other family and friends.

Eloise was preceded in death by her parents: John Tilly McCain and Julia Baughman McCain; a grandson: Sterling Chase Allen Miller; one sister: Brenda Lynn McCain d’Aquin; and a nephew: Clifton Phillip d’Aquin.

Active pallbearers are as follows: Kyle Slocum, Glenn Baudin, Jason Ard, and Teddy Caves.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will start Monday, December 23, 2024, at 1:30PM until time of service at 3:30PM. Interment will immediately follow at Bonnie Cemetery in Angie, LA. Services will be officiated by Bro. Fred Brumfield.
