James Edgar Whittington
September 15, 1949 - December 22, 2024
James Edgar Whittington, age 75, passed away at his home, December 22, 2024 surrounded by his wife Carolyn Sue of 55 years and his son James. He went by Dad, Paw Paw, Uncle or most knew him simply as “JE”.
JE loved his family, he could be described as a selfless father, always putting his family before himself. JE loved gardening, he could be found piddling in the garden or sitting on his front porch. JE will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
JE is survived by his wife Carolyn “Sue” Whittington; children Jeffery Whittington, Amanda Whittington (Kenny), James “Jamie” Whittington (Kaylie); 5 grandchildren Kayla Allen (Cliff), David Stockstill (Haily), Gabrielle Whittington, Annabelle Whittington, and Taysom Whittington; brothers Glyn Dale Whittington and Willie Whittington (Elvia), Ricky Whittington (Chris), Daniel Whittington (Rose); 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
JE is preceded in death by his mother Mavis Whittington, his father Glyn Dale Whittington, his sister Kathy Whittington, and a brother Cecil Whittington.
A celebration of life service will be held at James “Jamie’s” residence on January 5, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
