Clara Estelle Long

June 21, 1952 - October 29, 2024

Clara Estelle Long, age 72, of Franklinton, LA, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 29, 2024. Clara was born June 21, 1952 in Washington Parish, a daughter of the late Isaac and Josephine Long.  Clara was also preceded in death by her brother, Joe Long.  

Clara was strong willed and determined.  Whatever she set her mind to, she was going to accomplish.  Clara enjoyed traveling, listening to music, and having fun/joking with family and friends.  Most importantly, Clara accepted Christ as her Savior and secured her eternal destination with the Lord.  

Clara is survived by four sons, Reginald Long, Dana Jackson, Kelly Long, and Jesse Long; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shawana Jones (Wallace), Samantha Babers (AK Babers), and Afrika Hurley; several grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Collins, Nancy Simpson, and Patsy Long; and one brother, Joe Nathan Long.  She also leaves many other family members and friends who will greatly miss her.

A memorial service will be held on November 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Washington Street, Franklinton, LA.
