Diane Susan Guidry

April 8, 1947 - November 11, 2024

Diane Susan Guidry, age 77 and a resident of Kentwood, passed away early Sunday morning November 11, 2024 at Fair City Health and Rehab in Franklinton. She was raised in Larose, LA and was a former 20 year resident of Poplarville, MS before moving to Kentwood to be near her son. Diane was loved by everyone and she loved everyone in return. She had a big heart for animals, especially her many pet dogs, cats and even a few wild animals through the years. She was always quick to take in stray animals and provide them with a good home. Diane was an excellent cook and even made a family-recipe cookbook with all their favorites. She had a true green thumb and loved to fill her yard and house with different types of plants. Diane loved Jesus and attended and supported different churches in the areas where she had lived. Family was first and foremost her greatest joy and passion and she will be sadly missed by all her loved ones.

Survived by: Her Children and Spouses: Patrick and Angela Martinez, Shawn and Brigette Martinez, Byron and Charlene Guidry, Nikki and Chase Orgeron, Dena and Walter Ranstrom, Wendy and Pete Charpentier; 14 Grandchildren; 19 Great-grandchildren; Sister: Sharon Fonseca; Brother and Sister in law: Gary Plaisance, Sr. and Joan Plaisance; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Guidry, Sr., parents Taylor and Louise Plaisance, brothers Jimmy Plaisance, Brent Plaisance, brother in law Tom Fonseca and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Tuesday November 19th from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Tuesday with Bro. Joey Miller and Bro. Pete Charpentier officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
