J L Creel

J L Creel, age 79 and a resident of Franklinton, died at 6:38 am Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was self-employed as a paint contractor and enjoyed woodworking. He made several craft items and sold at the Washington Parish Fair.

Survived by: Fiancé: Luella Pipitone; Son: James L. “Jimmy “ Creel; Brother: Arthur Creel; 2 Sisters: Marie Wesley, Thelma Smith; Niece: Linda Ann

He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley B. Creel, his parents T J and Rose Mae Sharp Creel, a brother Willie J. Creel and 2 sisters Lucille Ezelle and Ada Lee Rester.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday, November 11, 2024 from 9 am until time of funeral service to be held at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
