Linda Diane Smith Maples
September 26, 1944 - October 20, 2024
Linda Diane Smith Maples, age 80 and a resident of Mount Hermon, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon October 20, 2024 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was a longtime member of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church that served in the church nursery for many years. She always loved taking care of the young children. Linda also enjoyed taking care of others, either her family or just people in the community that needed anything. She could do just about any job around the house including plumbing and mechanic work while also spending time in the outdoors gardening or hunting with her family. Linda was an excellent cook and made delicious jellies, jams and wonderful egg custard pies that everyone loved. Her deer roast Bar-B-Que and yeast rolls were also a favorite amongst many others. Linda enjoyed listening to her favorite music and had a radio playing at bedtime every night. She was always a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.
