March 13, 1953 - October 5, 2024
“For I Reckon that sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18”
In the year 1953, on March 13, the queen of Ms. Dorothy Mae Muldrow was born in Hope, Arkansas. With the loss of her father, her and her siblings witnessed their mother’s faith to successfully continue to raise her and her siblings. The example of faith in her life catalyst to help her start her journey of her own personal relationship with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Later they moved from Arkansas to Venice California. Doris attended Venice High School and graduated. After graduating she decided to move to Los Angeles, CA, where she started her life and found her friend, partner, lover and on July 19,1985 Ellis and Doris became as one. After her husband retired, they moved to his hometown Bogalusa, LA.
Those who knew her will remember her as a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, auntie, sister-in-law and a friend to few. She wasn’t one that needed a crowd surrounding her.
Doris leaves to cherish her amazing memories to her children: two sons: Lash Weary of Bogalusa, LA, Frederick Newkirk; five daughters: Shannon W Jenkins of Tacoma, WA, Sharonda Weary of Gautier, MS. and Margie Magee of Pascagoula, MS, Monique Spikes of Bogalusa, LA, and Sandra Weary; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great- grandchildren; one brother Lee Russell Hamilton; three sister-in laws: Ms. Juanita W. Spikes, Ms. Arlene Weary both of Varnado, LA, Mrs. Estella W. Jones of Los Angeles, CA; one brother-in- law Johnny R. “Black” Weary of Bogalusa, LA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends near and aboard.
