With the Washington Parish Fair just four weeks away, now is the perfect time to unleash your creativity and contribute to the enchanting atmosphere that makes Franklinton truly special. In past years, we've been captivated by the delightful decorations adorning homes, businesses, schools, clubs, and green spaces, each adding a unique flair and charm to our community. These joyful displays not only provide a warm welcome to the countless visitors who flock to our town, but they also uplift the spirits of our residents, fostering a true sense of belonging and pride. We invite everyone—local businesses, schools, and clubs—to join in this fun-filled tradition, as together we can create a breathtaking tapestry of creativity that showcases the heart of Franklinton. This year's fair theme is "Small Town - Big Fair" and must be displayed. To enter your display in the contest, please email your entry form to thefranklintonchamber@gmail.com or drop off at 211 11th Ave. by 5:00 pm on Monday, October 7th.
As we gear up for the highly anticipated judging event on Saturday, October 12th, we want to remind all members that displays must be ready by 8:00 am sharp! Our out-of-town judges are buzzing with excitement, eager to engage with our community and witness the incredible talent our local businesses have to offer. This year, we are thrilled to introduce an exciting new element: award ribbons for each winner, which will not only enhance the pride of our participants but also elevate the overall experience. Additionally, award signs will be prominently displayed at the winners' sites, celebrating their achievements and reflecting the Franklinton Chamber's unwavering commitment to championing community success. We encourage everyone to seize this opportunity to showcase your creativity and excellence, as your participation plays a crucial role in enhancing the economic vibrancy of Franklinton.
