Alerts from Washington Parish Government

• There is a tree down on Choctaw Road, around Thigpen Road, on a power line. Same on Tullos Road. Both are impassable. Please stay away from the areas as crews are working.

• Please use caution around Old Columbia and Cumnock Road, as well as Harvey Road and Bateman Road.  Power lines are down in those areas.  Folks, we have a lot of ground to cover in Washington Parish.  Our Maintenance Crews, our First Responders, and our Utility companies are working to clear roadways and restore power.  Use caution.

• Many thanks to Jack’s Tree Service for removing a downed tree on Jim Edwards Road in Mt. Hermon.  Please use caution, as there are low-hanging lines.  Large vehicles should take another route. 

• As per Washington Parish President Ryan Seal, the curfew has been LIFTED.  As our crews, first responders and utility companies are working diligently, we ask that you use caution when driving.  Thank you.
