Gloria Harvey Savoy
September 30, 1957 - August 15, 2024
“The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, Blessed be the Name of the Lord”.
Gloria Harvey Savoy (aka Bay-Bay) was born to the late George and Freddie Mae Harvey in Bogalusa, LA. At a young age, she joined the Campfire Girls called the Bluebirds. She graduated from Glenville High School 1975 and later graduated Bluffton University 1979 with Bachelors in Business Administration & Accounting where she was one of the first African Americans to create a Black Student Union.
Gloria retired 2012. After retirement, she began preparing tax returns & helping family and friends with legal paperwork, assisting others in any way with love and compassion. She joined Faith in the Word Ministries on March 15, 2015. Gloria loved to travel, plants/flowers, and sewing. Also, she loved…. giving advice on EVERYTHING and ANYTHING… her favorite sayings would be “I’m Just Saying” or “You Know”. She referenced all her nieces and nephews, as “YOU” with eye contact, lol. She did know their names but she was a fast talker, their names just couldn’t come out her mouth in the midst of conversating, lol. The only name she did say correctly every time was QuoVadis!
Her biggest joy in life is her only child, QuoVadis Renae’ Savoy. There are no words that can express the love she has for QuoVadis. Her entire world revolved around Q (nicknames: Coco, Nae Nae, Cinderella, Boota Butt, Vadis)
She leaves to mourn her pride and joy QuoVadis Savoy, daughter, siblings: Gary Harvey (deceased)(Linda) of Cleveland OH, Rosilyn Magee of Baton Rouge LA, Ronnie Harvey of Cleveland OH, Janice Harvey (LC) of Cleveland OH, Georgia Bell of Columbus OH, Michael Harvey of Columbus OH, Shoyn Harvey of Columbus OH, Tonda Easley of Cleveland OH and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 9:00AM - 11:00AM followed by funeral service at 11:00AM at Faith in the Word Ministries with Pastor, Jacob Tate III - Pastor Officiating. Interment will be held at Bethel Church Cemetery.
