Four persons have been arrested by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office's Narcotics Division as a result of an investigation into illegal drugs being sold by a Slidell-area man. Detectives began an investigation earlier this month into a Slidell resident, Daniel Woodruff, who was suspected of selling illegal narcotics.
On Friday (August 9, 2024) detectives conducted a traffic stop on Old Spanish Trail and made contact with Woodruff and a female, Sarah Cumberland. It was learned Woodruff and Cumberland both had active arrest warrants issued through various agencies. They were arrested and later booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center for those warrants and numerous new charges.
On Monday (August 12, 2024), detectives executed a search warrant at Woodruff’s residence in the 100 block of Steele Road in Slidell. At the home, detectives located and seized 16 grams of fentanyl, less than one gram of methamphetamine, 11 strips of Suboxone, 1.3 grams of marijuana, 80 dosage units of benztropine, 45 dosage units of topiramate, 3 dosage units of clonidine, drug paraphernalia and two firearms. Two individuals, Steven McArthur and Jerry Ross, were present at the home during the search warrant and were also arrested and booked at the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
