Billy Wayne Crosby

April 12, 1940 - July 9, 2024

Mr. Billy Wayne Crosby, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on July 9, 2024, in Mandeville, LA, at Pontchartrain Health Care Facility, at the age of 84.

Mr. Crosby was a Navy veteran, and was employed with the Box Plant for 42 years.

Mr. Crosby is survived by his wife of 63 years Sharon Pounds Crosby of Bogalusa, LA; 2 sons Bryan Wade “Chuck” Crosby of Bogalusa, LA, and Blake Warren Crosby of Bogalusa, LA; grandchildren Brannan Crosby, Katie Crosby, Ally Crosby; a special daughter-in-law Laurie Sumrall Crosby of Bogalusa, LA; a sister-in-law Marjon (Wynn) Pierce of Daphne, AL; 2 brothers-in-law Robert “Bobby” (Robbie) Pounds of Bogalusa, LA, and Michael “Mike” Pounds of Bush, LA; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents Bura Crosby and Mammie Cooper Crosby; and a sister-in-law Mildred Bessonette.  

A private family memorial service will be held at later time.
