At approximately 8:15 AM today (July 5, 2024), Washington Parish Deputy Sheriffs responded to the 1200 block of South Choctaw Road near Bogalusa, in reference to reports of a man who was found deceased behind his residence.
Initial investigation determined that the man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The incident is being investigated as a homicide, and detectives are currently following several leads.
The identification of the victim is currently being withheld until the family is notified.
Deputies are currently working to locate 35 year-old Clois Clifton Blackledge III (pictured above), a person of interest in this case. He was last seen riding a 2004 Honda Motorcycle with Tag #: LAMC598145. The motorcycle was originally black and silver in color, but may have recently been repainted white.
