Another Robbery at a ATM in St. Tammany - STPSO Investigating

Detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit are investigating after a man was robbed at gunpoint while using a Covington-area ATM.

Shortly before 10 p.m. Friday (June 28, 2024) a black male wearing a mask and dark clothing approached a man who was making a deposit at an ATM outside a bank on Highway 21 near Covington.  Armed with a pistol, the suspect demanded the money the victim was attempting to deposit and then left the area in a dark colored sedan.

Detectives are working to obtain video from the area but believe this incident is connected to similar armed robberies which occurred last week at ATMs in the Mandeville area. In that incident, on June 26, 2024, a black male wearing all black clothing and armed with a pistol approached the victim at a Capital One Bank ATM on Highway 22. The suspect demanded the money the victim was withdrawing, grabbed her cell phone, and fled in a dark colored 4-door vehicle. Images of the suspect and suspect vehicle are pictured above.

Anyone with information about this crime, is asked to contact the STPSO at (985) 898-2338.
