A message from Washington Parish Government
Washington Parish Government is excited to share with our social media followers the work our Washington Parish Animal Shelter is doing! WPAS is located at 23046 Yacc Road in Franklinton, offering a wide range of resources for Washington Parish.
WPAS takes in stray animals, as well as owner surrenders, handles emergency surrenders, offers rehome resources and educational classes. In addition, WPAS offers a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, (felines $45, canines $70), along with vaccines. WPAS has partnered with the Humane Society and Petco's Love Grant for free vaccines (while supplies last). They also offer one-month food supplies for animals whose owners cannot afford same (while supplies last).
AND ADOPTIONS!! WPAS always has animals looking for their fur-ever homes. Adoption fees are $100, but look for discounted prices and free adoption events. All animals are fully vaccinated, altered, parasite-free and given monthly heartworm and flea prevention.
