Wendy J. Hanhart, FNP, of Washington Parish, residing in Greensburg, LA

The Greatest Girl in the World

Hallowed wife of Dr. EJ Hanhart, Sr. and cherished mother of E’Lizabeth Jules Hanhart, Edward Julius Hanhart, Jr. and Ellie Jeanne Hanhart, beloved sister of Joanne Saucier, Lance Jerrell and Leigh Stogner

Survived by mother Sharon Knight, spouse of Steve Naquin

Preceded in death by her father Aubrey Jarrell and spouse Rhonda Jarrell

Wendy was born October 13, 1969 and her earthly life ended June 5, 2024

She graduated from Columbia Academy and the University of Southern Mississippi. For many years she served the area as a BSN Nurse and manager, ultimately earning her Masters Family Nurse Practitioner from Loyola University. She practiced primary care and occupational medicine. Many of the obstacles Wendy overcame seemed insurmountable, yet she navigated them with grace, remaining a happy servant to all God’s people and animals. While her death is a tragic loss, she and her family want everyone to remember Heaven is real, and a meeting with our creator occurs either now or later. She is washed by the blood that is a free gift by grace through faith in Christ. Today she is dancing for Jesus without any worry, pain or suffering. We can only imagine the joy!

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton, LA) on Sunday June 9th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The Louisiana Nurse’s Honor Guard will provide a tribute service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday June 10th at Zion Lutheran Church (11007 Plank Road, Clinton, LA) from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 12:00 pm Monday with Bro. David McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held in the church fellowship hall following the graveside services.
