Bogalusa Police Arrest 18 Year-Old for Vehicle Burglaries

Investigators with the Bogalusa Police Department have arrested 18 Year-Old Zhyion E. Brock and charged him with 3 counts of Vehicle Burglary, 2 counts of Attempted Vehicle Burglary, Aggravated Flight From an Officer, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, and Fugitive from an Outside Agency. 

The vehicle burglaries took place in the northern region of Bogalusa between Bankston Drive and continuing to Caswell Avenue on June 10, 2024. Following the burglaries, Officers observed the suspect vehicle on Avenue B, and the vehicle fled. The vehicle crashed out on West 9th Street, but the driver eluded officers. The vehicle was later determined to have been stolen out of Washington Parish. 

Detectives identified Brock and obtained warrants for his arrest for the burglaries. 

On June 17, 2024, Brock was arrested, without incident, at a residence on Davis Street after the patrol Shift answered a call of a suspicious person, and possibly of an attempted burglary in progress. At the time of Brock’s arrest, he was illegally possessing a firearm. Brock also had a fugitive warrant from Washington Parish Sheriff's Office in relation to the stolen vehicle. 

Detectives believe another suspect is involved in the recent burglaries and are working to identify this person. Detectives are asking the public to call the Bogalusa Police Department (985-732-3611) or the Investigations Division (985-732-6238) if anyone has any information regarding these burglaries.
