Gail Ann Marine Watkins

October 19, 1939 - May 12, 2024

Gail Ann Marine Watkins, age 84 and a resident of Covington, Louisiana passed away peacefully Sunday May 12, 2024 after a lengthy illness. She was a born in New Orleans on October 19, 1939 and was a former longtime resident of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Gail worked as a dental assistant for dentist Mark Roybal in Biloxi for many years before retiring. She enjoyed sewing, often making clothes and other items for her family and she loved making unique Halloween costumes for her young grandchildren. Gail and her family always enjoyed spending time at the beach and later in life she liked traveling to the mountains. In retirement, she and her husband became volunteer National Park Rangers, serving at different parks across the United States. Gail was forever a devoted wife, mother and grandmother that cherished the time she spent with her family.

Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Cindy and Greg Bourne of the Pine Community; Son and Daughter in law: Lloyd and Janet Watkins of Cody, Wyoming; Grandchildren: Christopher and Shena Bourne and their children Aaron and Kora Beth, Joshua Watkins; Brother and Sister in law: Lloyd and Nancy Marine of Ocean Springs, MS; Brother in law: William “Sonny” Furr of Crystal Springs, MS; Nieces: Heidi Pitre, Laura Furr

She was preceded in death recently by her husband of 63 years Thomas Edwin “Tom” Watkins, her mother Hilda Libert Marine, father Lloyd Marine, sister Janet Marine Furr and other family members.
