Michael E. Holland

September 15, 1958 - May 22, 2024

Michael E. Holland, age 65, passed away on May 22, 2024, at his home in Varnado, LA. Michael was a true believer; loving the Lord and learning his Bible from front to back. He served in the United States Army and spent almost his entire life as a butcher, with his career at Double D Meat Market and Travis’ Supermarket. To know Michael was to love him. He was the best storytelling friend and the most devoted husband to his late wife. Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing, however, his time with his children and grandchildren were most important.

Michael is survived by three daughters: Lacy Dugas (Joey), Kala Lozier, and Kallie Holland; two sons: Clayton Holland and Lee Michael Holland; three step-sons: Terry “TJ” Lozier, Paul Lozier, and Donnie Lozier; 13 grandchildren; three sisters: Cheryl Holland, Cindy Kennedy, and Brenda Holland; four brothers: Alvin Holland, Jr., Shane Holland, Robert Dyson, Jr., and Gary Dyson; numerous other family and friends; and the ultimate, loving fur-baby: Woody.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Deborah “Debbie” Holland; his parents: Alvin Holland and Jessie Dyson; and one sister: Susan Blake.

In the words of his children, “We find peace and solace knowing he is in the arms of Jesus.”

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
