The Bogalusa Police Department has advised that today (April 15, 2024), BPD Detectives have arrested two additional juveniles (age 14 and 15) for their involvement in Saturday (April 13, 2024) morning’s deadly shooting of a 16 year-old.

The preliminary investigation revealed that an undisclosed, occupied residence was shot multiple times, by multiple different calibers and individuals. Further investigation revealed that while the juveniles were shooting into the residence, the deceased juvenile sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Physical evidence, statements and the investigation in its entirety thus far, indicate that there was no opposing gunfire during this incident.
Numerous search warrants were executed. Detectives ultimately recovered three firearms which are suspected of being utilized in the shooting.
All three juveniles were booked with the following:
- 1st Degree Murder
- 4 counts of Attempted 1st Degree Murder
- Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
- Illegal Possession of a Handgun by a Juvenile
- -Failure to Seek Assistance
Each were turned over to the Florida Parish Juvenile Detention Center.
