In the early morning hours of Saturday, April 13, 2024, Bogalusa Police Officers responded to the area of Union Avenue in reference to shots being fired and found a 16 year-old deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
A 15 year old is in custody and has been charged with 1st Degree Murder, Attempted 1st Degree Murder (4 counts), Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal Possession of a Handgun by a Juvenile, and Failure to Seek Assistance.
Bogalusa Police state that additional arrests are expected in the near future and that Detectives are currently working many leads.
