Margaret "Margie" Entrevia Brown

August 6, 1937 - April 2, 2024

Margaret Entrevia Brown, known as “Margie,” Brown devoted mother, wife, and friend passed away Tuesday afternoon at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA surrounded by her family at the age of 86. She was a native and lifelong resident of Bogalusa, LA and born to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Entrevia along with 12 siblings. A great cook, she would always enjoy preparing meals for her family and friends. She was a longtime manager of a local business but enjoyed her second career as a teacher’s aide. A longtime member of Annunciation Catholic Church of Bogalusa, LA. She also loved hosting many St. Joseph’s Altars; it was a great honor for her.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Cathy Brown Haik, Pattie Brown Mason (Miles), and Deborah Brown, all of Bogalusa, LA; 3 grandchildren, Theresa Mason Dubay, Nelson “Sonny” Mason, and Nicolas Bilbo; 2 great granddaughters, Isabella D. Dubay and Nora Bilbo; 2 sisters, Joyce E, McKean and Pat E. Pounds. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyde Edward Brown; daughter, Rita Ann Brown; son, Thomas Edward “Tommy” Brown; parents, Andrew and Mamie Entrevia; and 10 siblings.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday morning at 10:30 A.M. at Annunciation Catholic Church, 517 Avenue B, Bogalusa, LA with Fr. Angel Diaz officiating. Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.

A visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. with a Rosary being said at 6 P.M. and again at Annunciation Catholic Church on Friday morning 9 A.M. until Mass time at   10:30 A.M.
