Levoice Vern Peters, Jr.

July 1, 1957 - March 23, 2024

Mr. Levoice Vern Peters, Jr. was born July 1, 1957 in Bogalusa, LA to Mr. Levoice Peters, Sr. and Mary Bertha Peters. 

He attended Wesley Ray United Methodist Church in Angie, Louisiana where he accepted Christ at an early age and remained a member until his sunset.

As a young man, Vern Peters lived in Angie, Louisiana and started his life as a farmer and handyman with the Lewis Family and became a part of their family.

He enjoyed cooking, farming, hunting, teaching others to fish, showcasing cows, maintaining rent houses, lending a hand to those in need and working at the Angie Auction.

Vern departed this life on the evening of Saturday, March 23, 2024 at St. Tammany Hospital in Covington, LA. 

He leaves to cherish his loving memory two sons, a son, Frederick Weary and a loving son, Micheal Weary; five sisters, Velma Magee, Reola Peters, Sheri Peters, Janice Peters and Linda Peters; five brothers, Elvis Peters (Teresa), Rodney Peters (Hessie), Jerome Peters (Karen), and Leon Peters, and a host of grandkids, nieces, and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, (maternal) Mr. Tommie Peters and Mrs. Willie and (paternal) Mr. Lonnie Peters and Mrs. Fannie Peters; sister, Bonnie Weary and two lovely nieces; God Children, Stephen Lewis, Jeff Howard, Brittany Penton and Christal Upton. Kay Lewis was a friend who provided a kindness to a friend during a difficult time. 

A visitation will be held at Crain and Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 11:00AM - 1:00PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM. Interment will be held at Mose Cemetery in Angie, LA.
