Marcus Franklin Ballard, Jr., age 76 and a resident of Franklinton passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was a heavy equipment operator for the pipeline and traveled all over the U S. He got to see every state except Hawaii and Alaska. He retired from Union 406.
Survived by: Wife: Jo Ann Ballard; Son and daughter in law: Carl and Sherri Ballard; Daughter: Cathy Jo Ballard; Grandchildren and spouses: Chasity and Brady Fournier, Corwin and Rachael Norred, Felisha and Sheldon Roberson, MaKayla and Jordan Carrier, William Ballard, Abraham and Chloe Ballard; 12 Great grandchildren; Sister and brother in law: Ione and Elbert Norred
He was preceded in death by his parents Marcus F. Ballard, Sr. and Eunice Ione Ballard, grandparents, granddaughter Reagan Ballard and grandson Ayden Ballard.
A graveside funeral service will be held in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mt. Hermon, LA, 1 PM Friday, April 26, 2024, with Rev. Bryan McMorris officiating.
