The Bogalusa Police Department Criminal Patrol Division has been busy lately apprehending criminals within the community and reports the following:
On Tuesday evening, April 8, 2024, Officers arrested Takavious Ball-Haynes after he fled from Officers in his vehicle. During the pursuit, Ball-Haynes threw a handgun from the vehicle, which was later recovered. Ball-Haynes ultimately stopped and was arrested and found to be in possession of an assortment of illegal narcotics. Officers discovered that Ball-Haynes was a convicted felon, thus being prohibited from possessing a firearm.
On Wednesday evening, April 9, 2024, Officers were searching for a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run that occurred days prior. Officers located the vehicle, which was being operated by Djamian Harry. Harry was found to be in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine, other assortments of illegal narcotics, and a firearm. It was discovered that Harry was a convicted felon, and is currently on parole for similar offenses. Officers were also able to confirm that Harry was operating the vehicle during the hit and run.
