Obituary

Bobbie Louise Rayford

November 25, 1944 - March 18, 2024

Bobbie Louise Rayford was born to the union of the late Dock and Susie Robert on November 25, 1944. She went to be with the Lord March 18, 2024. At an early age, Bobbie was a member of the Methodist Faith. She later married and became a member the Mount Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. CB Vice. She loved her Live Oak community and it’s the place she always called home. 

Bobbie was employed at Sportsman Inn for many years before deciding to pursue entrepreneurship in the Home Health, Childcare industry, and Mary Kay consultant. She loved her job and her clients, both young and old and they adored her.

Bobbie never met a stranger. She treated everyone like family. Her genuine love and caring spirt was powerful and contagious. She had a way of making everyone fell like she was their Grandma Bob. 

Bobbie's leisure activities were singing in the Benson Minor Church Choir, crossword puzzles, dancing, playing bingo, hanging out with her friends, and entertaining her grandchildren. 

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Rayford, son, Daniel Rayford and daughter, Pamela Dillion.

Bobbie’s legacy and memories will be cherished by her children, daughters Joyce (Jerry) Thomas of Acworth, GA and Lisa (Larry) Payton of College Station, TX and son Paul Rayford of Acworth, GA; grandchildren, Kendale Rayford of Houston, TX, Sharonda Rayford of Villa Rica, GA, Yashica (Tory Mannie Lithonia) of GA, Shanta Rayford of College Station, TX, Johnny Ray Dillion of Cartersville, GA, Paul Mark of Acworth, GA, Larry Payton, Jr. of Woodlands, TX, Jakaya Rayford of NC; Great Grandchildren, Shakira, R ’Moni, Phillip Jr. Jordan Lyric and Kennedy Rayford, Kaeden, Carter, Phoenix Ermias, Yamire Mannie, Madilyn Dillion, Payton & Phoenix Ravan Dukes, Angel Martin, Morgan Rayford host of nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11:00AM at Live Oak United Methodist Church with Rev. Gaynell Nichols – Officiating, Rev. Terrence August – Pastor. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
