Willie Frazier Brumfield

Willie Frazier Brumfield was born April 13, 1945 in Franklinton, LA. Willie was the son of the late Bessie and Willie Brumfield. He departed this life March 14, 2024, at Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center.
Willie attended Vernon High School, where he graduated with the class of 1963. He then furthered his career in the United States Army as a Teletypist. He also was a Vietnam Veteran. Willie became a professional truck driver, where he then drove 18 Wheelers for a career for the last 55 years until his retirement in December 2023. He was a music lover and a master in all musical instruments such as the guitar and keyboard.
Willie, leaves to cherish his precious memories to his loving wife of 35 years, Carol Poche Brumfield; his son, Romalice “Bingo” (Felma) Williams; daughters, Thelma Freeman and Theresa Poche Cook; grandchildren, Antonio (Ravin) Poche, Brandon “Mikayla” Poche, Donald “Trey” Cook III, Andrea Brown, Adrian Brown; great grand children, Aubree Stoneham, Mackenzie Stoneham, Taylin Cook, Olivia Cook, Railynn Poche, Demarcus “DJ” Cole; God children, Trinity Trent, Adrian Thompson, and Jessica Thompson; six children he raised as his own, Darrell Glasper, Sr., Andrea Glasper, Wanda Glasper, Elizabeth Glasper, Reedy Glasper, and Louis Glasper; a sister, Willie Jewel Alexis; brothers, Vincent Larry Brumfield, Lamont (Andrea) Brumfield; a brother-in-law, Johnny Morgan; mother-in-law, Louise Grayer; sisters-in-law, Clara (John) Christophe, Barbara (Wayne) William, Patricia (John) Fisher; brothers-in-law, Earl (Cleo) Milton, Jerry Milton, Johnny (Patricia) Milton, Fredrick (Pamela) Grayer, Eugene (Dionne) Grayer; and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie and Willie Brumfield; sisters, Sandra Brumfield, Tavonia Turner, Delone Morgan; a brother, Rickey H. Brumfield; children, Michael Glasper, Anthony Glasper, and Ronald Glasper.
Visitation will be held at Green Chapel A.M.E. on Thursday March 28, 2024 from 9:00am until religious service at 11am.; Rev. Ranches Hall - Officiating. Interment at Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary La.,
