Tangipahoa Parish Detectives Seek Suspect in Vehicle Theft (Video Included)

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is asking the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest in a vehicle theft. Sheriff Daniel Edwards says detectives are investigating the theft of a Ford F-250 which was taken from the PT Truck Stop on Airport Road just after 6:30 PM on February 1, 2024.

With the help of video surveillance, detectives have identified a person of interest who is believed to be the suspect in the theft. The suspect is seen in the video to be a black male wearing a reflective safety vest and a gray hat with red writing.

Upon arrival at the truck stop, the suspect exited a white Ford van and entered the store through the front entrance. He then purchased several items with cash, and exited through the rear entrance of the store. Moments later, the white Ford van is seen leaving the vicinity where the stolen truck had also been parked.

The suspect vehicle appears to be a late model Ford van with a ladder rack and missing rear bumper. The stolen vehicle is a silver 2002 Ford-F250 with Louisiana license plate B953628.

Sheriff Edwards asks anyone with information regarding the identity of the person of interest, or who knows the owner of the van, to contact Sergeant Wylie Foster at 985-748-3337, OR if you wish to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa’s anonymous tip line at 1.800.554.5245 or visit www.tangicrimestoppers.com and click on the P3 Tips icon or Submit A Tip!
