Obituary

Robert Sceabra Woodward

March 23, 1950 - January 17, 2024

Robert Sceabra Woodward, age 73, was born on March 23, 1950. Robert loved his family and Jesus. He knew his Bible from cover to cover and took every opportunity he could to witness about his Jesus. He was a “Jack of All Trades”. Robert worked all of his life, starting around the age of seven helping his father haul firewood. As an adult, he had many jobs while always providing for his family. He didn’t want them to lack of anything, including love. He drove an 18-wheeler log truck for many years with the Jones Trucking Company. He worked on the right-of-way many years for Martin Chemical, which was later known as Asplundh Tree Experts. Robert also worked as an operator of the machinery at local gravel pits. He accomplished all these jobs and skills before he started with the Town of Franklinton, where he later retired to go home to be with his wife and enjoy life with his family. Robert loved to plant his garden each year and enjoyed fishing. He passed away, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday January 17, 2024 following a tragic fall at his home.
