Obituary

Delone Brumfield Morgan

September 16, 1941 - January 21, 2024

I will lift up mine eyes to the Hills.

Sister Delone Morgan departed her earthly life to our Master & Savior on January 21, 2024. She was born on September 16, 1941 to Bessie and Willie Brumfield in Mt. Hermon, LA.

Delone was baptized at an early age at Crystal Springs AME Church in Mt. Hermon, LA. Delone was educated in Washington Parish where she attended Vernon High School. Upon completing her studies, she went to Southern University, and got her Masters. She taught school for 35 years in St. Charles School System. She was a member at Payne Memorial AME Church in New Orleans, LA, for many years. She loved working in the Church and singing in the (Alto) Choir. She loved traveling all over the world.

Delone leaves to cherish her memories a husband, Johnny J. “Ace” Morgan; stepdaughter, Thiffiny Morgan; two granddaughters, Markia Davis and Elaijah Williams ; two great grandchildren, Marlei and Fregenal Moore; a sister, Willie Jewel; three brothers, Willie (Carol) Brumfield, Larry Brumfield, and Lamont (Andrea) Brumfield; two sisters-in-law, Prenella Thompson, and Rita Morgan; two brothers-in-law, Rober (Ida) Morgan, and Angonie (Hermaine) Morgan; God sons, Aaron and Kendric Brumfield; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Willie Brumfield; sisters, Sandra Brumfield, and Tavonga Tanner; a brother, Ricky H. Brumfield

Crain and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
