RCC's Canine Assistance Training Staff Program

Rayburn Correctional Center C.A.T.S. program prepares inmates and dogs for integration into society. Canine Assistance Training Staff is a program that teaches inmates responsibility, conflict resolution, and patience, while these inmates train dogs that are adopted out to individuals who may have P.T.S.D., a disability, or need for a companion. With the help of Doggone Express, a nonprofit, RCC has trained and adopted out close to 400 service dogs since the program began in 2013.
