Tressy Williams Slade
August 26, 1970 - November 29, 2023
Tressy Williams Slade, age 53 and a former resident of Angie, lost her lifelong battle with Wilson’s disease on Wednesday November 29, 2023 at the Villa Feliciana Medical Complex in Jackson, Louisiana. Though her disease caused struggles for much of her life, Tressy lived life to the fullest extent. She loved horses and wearing her favorite cowgirl boots. Tressy loved listening to music and dancing. She enjoyed going out to places and eating Chinese food and liked visiting with the people she met. Tressy loved going to church and she loved her savior Jesus Christ. Tressy always loved her family with all her heart.
A special note from her first cousin, Melody…”Tressy and I grew up together and were family. However, since 2011, when Tressy entered into a long-term care facility to meet the challenges of Wilson’s Disease, we became friends. As I interacted and watched the circumstances of life continually stack up against Tressy, I never saw her hope or fight waver. She stood steadfast in God’s love for her and I watched as He continued to fulfil her in ways that no one could. And even though she longed to be with her son and grandson, the Lord never left her side and Tressy entered into Heaven with Him because he already won the war for her!”
Survived by: Son: Jordan Slade and fiancé Kalista Larson of Angie; Grandson: Jasper Slade; Brother and Sister in law: Tony and Crissy Williams of Angie; Aunt: Sheila Maroney; Also a beloved niece and nephew and many special cousins
She was preceded in death by her parents Purvis Williams and Gloria Mitchell Williams, sister Tammy Williams, brother Todd Williams, her grandparents and other family members.
