On Tuesday (December 19, 2023), Officers and Detectives of the Bogalusa Police Department apprehended 31 year-old Everett J. Rhea III, who was charged with Attempted Armed Robbery.
On December 2, 2023, shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched to 802 Sabine Street on an attempted armed robbery, involving a firearm. The victim sustained minor injuries during the attempted robbery. The suspect fled prior to officer’s arrival, and evaded the police in the hours afterward.
Detectives obtained video footage that captured the incident and identified Rhea as the suspect. Warrants were obtained for Rhea’s arrest. Rhea was located, apprehended without incident, and booked into the City Jail.
The administration of the Bogalusa Police Department commends the officers and detectives involved.
