Leslie "Owl Head" Edward Mizell

April 13, 1937 - November 17, 2023

Leslie “Owl Head” Edward Mizell, a resident of Bush, LA, passed away at Lacombe, Nursing Center in Lacombe, LA on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the age of 86.   He was retired from the Bogalusa Paper Mill as a millwright mechanic.  Leslie was an active member of the Hebron Baptist Church and also a member of the Sun Masonic Lodge #336.

Leslie is survived by his wife of 67 years, Neller H. Mizell; two sons, Jeffery (Melinda) Mizell and Clifton Mizell both of Bush, LA; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lavert Mizell; two sons, Leslie Edward Mizell, Jr. and Walter “Moo” Mizell; a brother, Glynn Mizell; and a sister, Ruth Russell.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 24, 2023, from 9:00 A.M. until time for the service at 11:00 A.M. at Hebron Baptist Church with Bro. Tommy Seeger officiating the service.  Masonic rites will be performed at 10:45 A.M.  Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
