David Troy Crowe

April 11, 1967 - October 26, 2023

David Troy Crowe, age 56 and a resident of the Thomas Community, went to his Heavenly home Thursday night October 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 11, 1967 and was a Class of 1985 graduate of Covington High School. Troy was a longtime resident of Covington, where he worked as an alarm system technician serving both Northshore and Southshore businesses and residential customers. He enjoyed making unique art sketches, gardening and brainstorming creative plans for home and farm improvements. His creativity was limitless. Troy loved with every fiber of his being and his family felt that warmth every single day, loving him back with the same intensity.

Survived by: Wife of 29 years: Wendy Breland Crowe of Thomas; 5 Daughters and Sons in law: Kristen and Tyler Theard of Ponchatoula, Leslie Crowe and Grant Heller of Baton Rouge, Mallory Crowe and Dakota Hensley of Angie, Briley Crowe, Brittany Crowe; 2 Sons: Dean Crowe, Zaythyn Crowe; Grandbabies: Amelia Kate Theard, Josie Mae Hensley; Father in law and Mother in law: Louis Breland and Rita Spears Breland of Crain’s Creek; Sisters in law and a Brother in law: Lasonia and David Whitehead, Veronica “Roni” Ashburn; Special Aunt: Linda Dykes; Also numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents David Gaylon Crowe and Martha Peterson Crowe, baby Hensley “Blue Jay”, grandparents Clyde and Verlie Crowe, Ronald and Nelly Peterson.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Sunday October 29th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Monday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Monday with Rev. Tom Descant officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to help with final expenses.
