Dewanda Michelle Magee

August 23, 1968 - October 25, 2023

Dewanda Michelle Magee, age 55 and a resident of Mount Hermon, passed away Wednesday morning October 25, 2023 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was the Director of Meals at the Council on Aging in Franklinton for many years and always enjoyed serving people in need. Dewanda was a member of First Baptist Church in Franklinton and was an active member of the Ruth Sunday School class and D-3 bible study groups. She also served as a WMU director for several years. Dewanda was a licensed Master Gardener and had planted many different types of fruit trees at her home. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and beloved grandchildren.

Survived by: Husband of 27 years: Terry Magee of Mt. Hermon; 3 Children: Tasha Stewart, Brandon Lapharoahs, Hannah Magee; 10 Grandchildren; Father: Buck Jones; Brother: Ken Jones; Also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins

She was preceded in death by her mother Ida Pearl Jones and other family members.

A memorial service for her family will be planned at a later date.
