Shirlene B. Warren

December 6, 1955 - October 17, 2023

Shirlene B. Warren was the first-born child of Faye W. Miller and the late Elmo Moore. She was a sweet sister to five sisters and one brother. She was called home on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

Shirlene was married to the late Nathin Banks and to this union three children were born, Demetrius,  Tenishia and Anishia Banks. Shirlene was raised up at an early age at St. John Temple COGIC in Franklinton, LA under the leadership of Supt. Arthur Mixon. She later joined Mixon Holy Temple under the late Supt. Arthur Mixon and Pastor Joseph Cross.

Shirlene was a great big sister and she gave great advice often, whether you ask for it or not.  

Later she married the late Delma Warren. She was a cashier, manager, and a seamstress most of her working life. She loved family gatherings and playing dominoes. She also like spending time with her grandchildren and enjoying life.

She attended school and graduated from the Washington Parish School System. She graduated from Franklinton High School Class of 1974.

Shirlene leaves to cherish her precious memories, mother, Faye Miller; three children, Demetrius Miller of Nappanee, IN, Anisha Anders of Franklinton, LA, and Jenisheia Banks of Baton Rouge, LA; four sisters, Stella (Floyd) Dixon of Hammons, LA, Jackie (Vincent) Wilson, Cathy (James) Davis both of Franklinton, LA, and Gwendolyn (Darren) Dyson of Houston, TX; four grandchildren; twelve great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Shirlene is preceded in death by her father, Elmo Moore; her brother, Jerry C. Miller; and a sister, Cynthia T. Roberts.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home from 9:00AM – 11:00AM.

Funeral service on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment – Plainview Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
