Donna Sue Byrd

October 21, 1944 - October 17, 2023

Donna Sue Byrd was born October 21, 1944, in Bogalusa, LA, and passed away October 17, 2023 in West Monroe, LA. Previously, she was a member of New Life United Pentecostals in Bogalusa, LA, and the past 3 years was a member of The Pentecostals of the Twin Cities. She was a devoted wife and mother. She had a gentle and sensitive spirit. She was very giving and always put the needs of others ahead of her own. Her faith in God and in prayer was unwavering and carried her and others through many seasons of life. Her answer to anything was always prayer. She loved her church family and faithfully served in several ministries throughout the years.

Donna is survived by her daughter: Lesa Byrd Wilks and her husband, Jason; one son: Wade Byrd and his wife, Jodi; and 3 grandsons: Connor Wilks, Carter Wilks, and Caleb Byrd.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. J.B. Byrd; her parents: Walter and Mendia Bell; and three siblings: Barbara "Bobby" Turner, Stanley E. Bell, and Kenneth W. Bell.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home. Thursday, October 19, 2023, a visitation will be held in the funeral home chapel from 10AM until time of service at 11AM. Rev. Jason Wilks will officiate services.
