12 Year-Old Slidell-area Student Arrested for Terrorizing

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office reports that a 12 year-old male student at a Slidell-area private school was arrested Thursday (October 5, 2023) night after sending text messages to another student in reference to shooting up his school.

The student was issued a summons for Terrorizing and was released to a parent on a custodial agreement to appear in court.

“We have made it very clear that we will take threats like this seriously,” Sheriff Randy Smith said.  “We will continue to work with our schools and investigate any and all threats at our schools or to the students and faculty who attend them. Parents I urge you, to please speak with your children about the seriousness of actions such as these.”
