Larry Wayne Dendy

Larry Wayne Dendy, age 71 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Sunday morning September 24, 2023 at his residence. He worked as a police officer for the Jefferson Parish Police department. He enjoyed time at his camp on the bayou and also in Mississippi. He enjoyed hunting. He loved to porch sit. His most enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren and just being outdoors.
Survived by: Wife: Vanessa Lynn Etheridge Dendy of Franklinton; Children: Larry Dendy, Jr. of Carolina Beach, NC, Samantha Dendy of Harvey, LA, Kimberly Brown of McComb, Charles Parker of Tampa, FL; 2 Grandchildren: Emalynn Brown, Samuel Parker
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Lona Isic Dendy, a brother James Dendy and a sister Brenda Dendy.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Saturday, September 30, 2023 after 10 am with a funeral service to be held at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Shelby Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Crest Gate Cemetery, Franklinton, LA.
