Obituary

Nina Williams Warren

May 10, 1945 - August 24, 2023

Nina Williams Warren, age 78 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away early Thursday morning August 24, 2023 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a graduate of Pine High School, where she played on the basketball team, always a feisty, never-give-up competitor. Nina worked alongside her husband and family in their optometry clinics in Franklinton and Hammond for nearly 50 years, serving in the office or whatever way she could for countless clients through the years. She was a longtime active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she attended the Partners of the Word Sunday school class and also taught children’s classes for many years. Nina loved to travel often to the Smokey Mountains, riding around looking at the beautiful scenery was her favorite part. Her family and a large group of friends and their families took many vacations to the beach and other areas through the years. They enjoyed watching the children grow up together and making lifelong memories. She was always a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Caring for the needs of her loved ones was the most important thing in her life, and she cherished all the time spent with her grandchildren.
