Janice Breland

April 29, 1941 - July 26, 2023

Janice Breland was born in Bogalusa, La and passed away July 26, 2023 surrounded by family.

Janice was a Godly woman who loved the Lord, her family, Church, and her 1 o’clock hair appointment on Friday’s with Angel at Got Roots. She was Nanny to everyone. Nanny was a powerful prayer warrior. Heaven knows the wonderful eternal impact that all her many years of faithful praying she had on everyone.

She is survived by her two sons: Anthony Davis and Timothy (Nikki) Davis; eight grandchildren: Michael and Toni Carroll, Chris Paul (Erika) Davis, BJ (Maggie) Rester, Jennifer Davis (Chris Thomas), Monica Davis, Kristie (JD) Morgan, Zachary (Sarah) Cotton; two sisters: Dale Owens and Betty Hooper; eleven great-grandchildren: Blaise, Chloe, Makayla, Kadie, McKenzie, James, Bailee, Aubree, River, Shelby Kate, and Adelyn; and one unborn great-great grandson: Mallox.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Burdette and Hazel Paul; husband: Billy Ray Breland; one brother: Billy Paul; and sisters: Pauline Roussell and Cynthia Teper, a nephew: Arthur “Oppy” Roussell; and friend: David Bankston.

Services will be on July 31, 2023 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the Service at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are as follows: Chris Paul Davis, JD Morgan, Chris Thomas, Zachary Cotton, BJ Rester, and Colby Adams.
