Sherrie Lyn Duncan

November 29, 1972 - July 25, 2023

Sherrie Lyn Duncan, age 50 and a resident of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday evening July 25, 2023 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was a native and former resident of the Thomas Community that had lived in Kentucky for the last 10 years. Sherrie was a determined fighter through all of her health troubles and never wavered on her love for others and the happy spirit she showed everyone. She had worked as a sitter for folks in need for many years and always provided what she could, food, clothing, shelter to anyone that needed a helping hand. Sherrie enjoyed God’s beautiful creation and being in nature, often watching the hummingbirds through her window. She loved the Lord, enjoyed reading her Bible and liked to collect Angel statues. Sherrie will be missed greatly by her family and closest friends.

Survived by: 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Jennifer and Ellis Starnes of Paducah, KY, Sonia Duncan of Thomas; Brother: Joseph William Duncan; Father: Wilford Duncan, Jr.; Beloved Nieces and Nephews: Kadie Starnes, Dolores Starnes, Patlin Starnes, Herbert Warren, Kurt Warren, Hanna Cvitanovich, Lilly Rester; Grandmother: Charlene Mobley of Thomas; Also numerous cousins, other family members and friends

She was preceded in death by two infant children, mother Patricia M. Cronin, grandfather Joseph Mobley, Jr., grandmother Gloria Dolores Mobley, niece Gloria Faith Warren and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday July 28th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Saturday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Saturday with Rev. Steve Gorham officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.
