Slidell Police report that around 4:00 PM on Saturday (July 15, 2023), an alert citizen called SPD after they saw a blue BMW sedan, occupied by three male subjects, pull in front of a residence. The subjects took freshly-delivered Amazon packages and then fled the area. A SPD officer quickly located the vehicle.
The BMW, which was occupied by three male juveniles (ranging in age from 15 - 17) from Mississippi, contained multiple stolen packages belonging to several different addresses in the Slidell area. Officers also located a hand-written note, which contained a devised plan to commit some type of robbery.
All three juveniles were arrested and charged with multiple counts of theft and criminal conspiracy. All were locked down at the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.
Most of the stolen loot was returned to the rightful owners, but some of the packages were opened and unable to be matched to an address. Slidell Police believe that the subjects targeted the neighborhoods along the Robert Boulevard area. If you believe your package was stolen, first contact the original company from which your package was ordered, and once they confirm your package should have been delivered and is suspected to be stolen, contact Slidell Police.
