Indecent Exposure Complaint Results in Apparent Suicide

The Bogalusa Police department reports that on Sunday (July 09, 2023), at approximately 7:57 pm, Officers were dispatched to Cassidy Park in reference to a white male, exposing himself near the splash pad. 

The complainant advised that the subject was driving a dark gray Jeep. Upon Officers arriving, the suspect fled the area to a residence on St. John Street, where he then barricaded himself inside.

Officers attempted to negotiate with the subject for several hours, but the subject ultimately refused to cooperate and subsequently took his own life, with an apparent self inflicted gun shot wound. 

This is an active investigation.
