From DOTD: Road Closure and Intersection Signage Change

• Closure Reason: This is to allow crews to replace cross drains at the following locations: 7/24/23 - 7/29/23 - Two cross drains between Pope Road and Monroe Knight Road. 7/31/23 - 8/2/23 - One cross drain between Monroe Knight Road and LA 436.

4-Way Stop at LA 16 and LA 450

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces upcoming changes to the LA 16 at LA 450 interchange near Franklinton.

On July 31, 2023, DOTD will install stop signs, stop ahead signs, and striping, converting the LA 16/LA 450 intersection into a 4-way stop configuration. DOTD will also adjust the road beacons facing LA 16 from yellow to red. Changes are being made to improve the safety and overall function of the intersection.

Notification signage is already displayed in the area and will be in place for two weeks.
